MACL increases staff salaries by up to 20 percent

Maldives Airports Company (MACL) will be increasing their staff's salaries from October onwards.

An announcement made by the company stated their employees would get an increment between five to 20 percent. Employees that receive a small salary now will be receiving a 20 percent increase while employees in the higher income band will receive five percent.

This will not effect foreign employees in senior levels, MACL said.

The company said this change was brought to acknowledge the hard work of their employees, especially the work they did during the pandemic. This is something they are doing in order to maintain the salaries of their staff as one of the biggest companies in Maldives.

Additionally, their staff also gets health insurance and free parking in the airport, in addition to staff loan schemes and staff children loan scheme as well.
