The National Cricket Team of Maldives placed second in the Malaysian T20 Tri-Nation Series held by the Malaysian Cricket Association.

Out of the four matches that Maldives played, the country conceded the first match against Malaysia, while managing a victory over Thailand during the second match. Although the third match against Malaysia was halted due to rain, Maldives lost the second and last match against Thailand.

The best performance from the Maldivian team came from Sri Lankan athlete Nilantha Cooray, who managed 56 points out of 35 balls, and Adam Nasil Umar, who acquired 53 points with 38 balls.
