Price of young coconuts has presently inflated to MVR 70 due to unavailability of coconuts procured from local islands while this price stood between MVR 35 and MVR 50 at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

Price of young coconuts has increased in the marketplace owing to difficulties in obtaining the fruit.
In local markets, the price of a young coconut exceeds MVR 70 today. Meanwhile, young coconut water sold in 1.5ml water bottles stands at price between MVR 180 and MVR 230.
