The Elections Commission (EC) announced that January 15 would be the deadline for voters to change their addresses or islands of residence in preparation for the upcoming local council election.
EC stated that no further changes would be brought to the voters registry following the deadline.
The elections watchdog revealed that efforts were underway to compile and finalise the voters registry for both the local council election, slated for April 4, and the women's development committees across the country
A total of 980 councillors and 929 committee members will be elected in the upcoming election.
