Dear father,

I may not always call you.

Our conversations last less than a minute,

Well, it starts with a plain "Hello, how are you?"

And ends as soon I answer it.

Dear father,

Where have you been?

How have you been?

I know it's been hard lately.

Dear father,

I know that I will always be your little girl that runs to you when she's had a bad dream even though you've stopped showing it.

Dear father,

I don't remember the last time you told me you loved me, but I know you'll always do.

Dear father,

We haven't had a decent dinner together since the day you left, although you'd check on me every chance you get.

Dear father,

I miss falling asleep on the sofa watching my favourite show and you'd carry me to bed and read me the sweetest bedtime stories, and even now there's not a single night I don't receive a goodnight text from you.

Dear father,

I may never say this to you, but I love you with all my heart and I always will until the very end, because, dear father, you mean the entire universe to me.
