200 housing units to be built in L.Gan

Ministry of Finance has opened the bidding process in search of a contractor to construct 200 housing units in Gan, Addu Atoll. The Finance Ministry stated that the project lead by Ministry of Housing and Urban Development requires a contractor to design and build the housing units. The bidding process, which takes place on March 5, obligates a fee of MVR 1,500 and USD 100,000 must be presented as bid security. The government has set aside a budget of MVR 207 million to start six new housing project this year. Additionally, including six ongoing projects, a total of MVR 321 million is set to be spent on housing projects. This year, MVR 6.6 billion is allocated for Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) projects. This includes 315 new schemes and 229 ongoing ones.
