President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the President of India Droupadi Murmu.
The meeting was held yesterday afternoon in New Delhi.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Presidents had highlighted collaboration between the two countries for development and the importance of being of assistance to each other.
This is President Muizzu's first visit to India. He went on the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Prime Minister's oath taking ceremony after being elected for the third consecutive term.
Earlier yesterday, the President met with India's Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar as well.
