Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday released a statement strongly condemning the missile attack on Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, injuring innocent civilians.
"Such deplorable acts of terrorism have a negative impact on the efforts by the parties concerned and the international community to find peaceful solutions to conflicts in the region", the statement read.
Additionally, the Maldivian government reaffirmed its solidarity with the Saudi government and reiterated its steadfast commitment to fight against terrorism.
The missile which struck the arrival halls of Abha International Airport on Tuesday was reportedly fired by Houthi rebels, injuring 26, including women and children.
