A dead body has been found drifting outside Hulhumalé 2 on Tuesday.
According to the police, the body was recovered yesterday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m. However, the authorities have not yet been able to identify the body, which is suspected to be that of a foreigner.
The police said that the person was found wearing a short-sleeved black T-shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.
"The body, believed to be that of a foreigner, is currently in the Galolhu Mortuary," the police said.
Since the identity of the recovered body has not been ascertained, the police have urged the public to contact them via the Serious and Organised Crime Department's number 9911099 if they have any information regarding the matter.
