A spectator attacked the referee during a football match in Fuvahmulah, located in southern Maldives.
Police reported that a 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, which is currently under investigation.

The referee, who was overseeing a player receiving treatment for an injury, was caught off guard causing him to swerve and collide with another player, who is seen in the video covering his head after the collision.
Details of the injuries sustained by the referee and the player have yet to be disclosed.
The match was suspended following the attack and resumed with a different referee.
The Fuvahmulah City Council, the organizers of the match, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
