The government has presented Top Achievers Award to 441 students who earned high grades in the O'level and A'level exams.

The awards were presented in three sessions held at Dharubaaruge yesterday.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended all sessions of the ceremony. Unlike previous years, this year's ceremony was held on Government expenses alone, instead of under sponsorship from state owned enterprises.

National Top Tens for A'levels 2022-2023 were received by 376 students. In O'levels, 65 students achieved global level high results.

Out of those who scored top marks in O'level exams, 18 received global level awards.

While 12 students achieved first place in Maldives in A'levels, Certificate of Excellence (3 A stars) were received by 27 students. The top global score in O'levels were achieved by 25 students, with 23 amongst national top scorers.

Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu announced last night that the ceremony to recognize this year's O'level Top Ten would be held before the end of October.
