Foreign Minister Dr Abdulla Khaleel has left for United Arab Emirates (UAE) after concluding his official visit to India.

The Foreign Ministry said today that Minister Khaleel is visiting UAE on invitation from UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During his visit, he will meet with Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and hold discussions about further strengthening ties between Maldives and UAE. The Foreign Ministry further said that deliberations will be held on future collaboration between the countries.
This is the second official visit being made by Khaleel after his appointment in September.
In his recent visit to India, he met with India's Minister of External Affairs Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
The two ministers also signed the 'High Impact Community Development Projects' agreement.
