President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with some top officials of Saudi Arabia during his ongoing visit to the kingdom.
Solih departed to Saudi Arabia last Wednesday, to perform the Islamic pilgrimage of Umra.
The president-elect's office revealed in a tweet that Solih has completed his pilgrimage, and that he met with senior officials of the Saudi government. However, the office did not disclose who the officials were.
Solih is accompanied on his trip by the new Speaker of Parliament and Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim, and Adhaalath Party's deputy leader Ali Zahir. This marks the first time for Solih to visit Saudi Arabia after he won the presidential election last September.
Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman had also congratulated Solih on his election win.
