Maldivian travelers heading to the Kyrgyzstan for short stays will now be able to do so without requiring a visa.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Visa Exemption Agreement was signed between Kyrgyzstan and the Maldives in September, 2022. Under this agreement, Maldivians visiting Kyrgyzstan can stay for a maximum of 30 days without a visa.
However, for Maldivians planning to stay in Kyrgyzstan for more than 30 days, for education or business purposes, obtaining a visa will still be required, according to the ministry.
Currently, Maldivian passport holders can travel to over 90 countries without a visa, including countries such as Russia, China, and the United Kingdom.
