Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi Council has handed over the land used for the largest housing project outside of the Greater Male' Area to contractors on Wednesday.
The council said the project site has been handed over to Dhonbez Private Limited and China's RD23 Methodological Construction Group Co. Ltd of China.
"The project is the largest housing project ever undertaken in an island outside of Greater Male'," Kulhudhuffushi Council said.
The project includes five 11-storey towers that will include three rooms, three bathrooms, a sitting room, a kitchen, a laundry and a store room. While a total of 400 apartments will be constructed, each apartment will also be provided with a special motorcycle parking space.
The apartments are to be completed by the two contractors within 540 days.
