Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development released an announcement on Wednesday stating that under the President's Scholarship, the government will cover the expenses of studying in the student's choice of country in any field they opt for.
These scholarships are open to students who completed their higher secondary exams in 2023. Applicants must have received A star grades in a minimum of five subjects including Dhivehi and Islam, and a C grade or higher in English in O'levels or a more advanced exam.
Under the High Achievers' Scholarships, students may choose from the fields included in the 'National Training Needs List' published on the website of the Higher Education Ministry.
These scholarships will be provided for studying in Maldives, SAARC countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, China and OECD countries.
Deadline for applications is the end of July, 2024.
