The donations were made to hospitals located in Haa Alifu atoll Hoarafushi, Lhaviyani atoll Hinnavaru, and Kuredu.
Champa Brothers Maldives Pvt Ltd, pioneers in Maldives tourism and trade, have donated physiotherapy equipment to hospitals in three islands.
The donations were made to hospitals located in Haa Alifu atoll Hoarafushi, Lhaviyani atoll Hinnavaru, and Kuredu.
The handover ceremony was held at Champa Central. The equipment was handed over by Sara Moosa, daughter of Mohamed Moosa (Uchchu), one of the founding members of Champa Brothers. MPs for each island constituency received the donation.
During the ceremony, Minister of Health Dr. Abdulla Khaleel stated that the residents of these islands will benefit from the physiotherapy equipment donated.
"..Not only for these islands, but people from nearby islands will now not have to travel far for physiotherapy services," the Minister said.
Minister Khaleel expressed special thanks to Mohamed Moosa (Uchchu) for the donation.
He added that the growth of the health sector will bring joy to every citizen of the country.
One of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's most important policies is to strengthen the primary healthcare system in the Maldives, he said.
