A group of people in Fuvahmulah had confronted the police yesterday to obstruct an ongoing drug operation last night. Following an altercation that injured a police officer, three were arrested at the scene with another arrested later that night.

Police stated that another group of people had gathered in front of the police station late around midnight due following the earlier arrests with one of them entering the police station and clashing with officers, leading to his arrest as well.
