The deputy leader of Jumhooree Party (JP) and former Minister of Transport, Aishath Nahula, led a delegation from the party that met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Ali Solih, the Spokesperson of JP, and its founder Qasim Ibrahim, mentioned that the meeting was held to discuss the next course of action for the party and PNC ahead of the parliamentary election.
"We cannot divulge the details of our discussion, but will share the details later," Solih, who is also the former State Minister of the Ministry of Transport said.
President Dr. Muizzu is now the leader of People's National Congress (PNC), the ruling party.
Besides Aisha, close associates of Qasim Ibrahim including Ahmed Nihan, Kendhoo MP Ali Hussain, Riyaz Rasheed, and the JP's Secretary General Azleen Ahmed participated in the meeting with the President.
President Dr. Muizzu was accompanied by the Chairperson of PNC and Special Advisor to the President Abdul Raheem Abdulla. Additionally, the president's team included Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works and PNC Deputy President Adam Shareef, Minister of Economic Development and PNC Deputy President Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer, Felidhoo MP Fazul Rasheed and Minister of the President's Office Adam Rameez.
