High Court to remain open on voting day

The High Court will be open today, Saturday, September 9, to facilitate the submission of complaints related to the presidential election.

The High Court has announced that it will be open on both Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am in the morning until 10 pm at night, to facilitate the submission of election-related complaints. Starting from Monday and continuing until the end of the legal period for submitting such complaints, the High Court counter will be open from 9 am in the morning until 3 pm in the afternoon, and again from 8 pm to 11 pm at night, except on Fridays.

The High Court has also said that complaints can be submitted online by emailing [email protected]. Moreover, individuals who wish to submit complaints or seek clarification outside of the specified service hours can contact the High Court via the mobile number 7902206.

The High Court has advised individuals to ensure that all necessary information is provided in detail and that any relevant evidence is submitted along with the complaint.

The High Court is given the legal power to investigate election related complaints in the first instance. Such complaints are to be submitted to the High Court within 14 days of announcement of official election results.
