A foreign national has attacked a Maldivian in Hulhumalé Phase 1 today with a sharp object.
Maldives Police confirmed that the incident took place and revealed that the matter is now under investigation with the victim receiving treatment in Hulhumalé Hospital for non serious injuries to the hand.
They further confirmed that the attacker is in custody.
However, it is yet to be known what caused the altercation. Identities of those involved have also not been released.
