Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Monday, July 11, met with the Maldivian Hajj pilgrims in the tents in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the presidential couple had inquired about the well-being of the pilgrims.
In 2022, a total of 453 Maldivians traveled to Mecca, Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
President Solih and the First Lady had also traveled to Saudi Arabia to take part in this year's pilgrimage. The couple flew to Saudi Arabia on July 4.
Maldives received a limited number of Hajj quotas in 2022, due to which the Hajj Corporation of Maldives was exclusively contracted with the pilgrims transportation and facilitation in Saudi Arabia.
