Maldivian has increased their flight frequency on occasion of the Eid holiday period to cater to the increasing demand. Set to extend until the end of the holidays, the airline has added over 100 flights, with 50 trips ensured for travelers on a daily basis.
Maldives' flag carrier, Maldivian Aero has stated that they are increasing over 100 trips at the airline to cater to the surging levels of travel demands on occasion of the upcoming Eid-al-Adha holidays.
The company stated that these additional trips will be extended for domestic travelers from June 13 until the end of the Eid holidays.
In a bid to increase trips to all domestic travel destinations to meet the spike in demand, the airline has increased their daily number of flights to 50 during the upcoming holiday period, marking a significant rise from their current number of daily trips, which is at 30.
The airline presently travels to 16 domestic sectors across the country with Eid holidays marking the most demanding season for their domestic travels.
The airline's fleet is currently comprised of 15 aircrafts for domestic travels, which includes Airbus A320 aircrafts, as well as aircrafts of the Dash and ATR series. Maldivian is also making efforts to further increase the number of aircrafts included in their fleet in order to further strengthen their services for travelers.
While Maldivian typically increases their flight frequencies for various destinations during holiday seasons to cater to the soaring demand, they had also similarly increased their flights during the Eid-al-Adha holiday season last year as well.
