A team of Maldivian journalists are visiting Fujian Province, China on an experiential trip.
The delegation, which includes nine journalists from various media outlets and President's Office Senior Spokesperson Heena Waleed, arrived in China on a direct flight between Xiamen City and Malé in Fujian Province last Tuesday.
Their first stop was Xiamen, which is becoming well known as one of the most "livable" cities in China. City officials briefed them on Xiamen's developmental achievements, natural beauty, and environmental protection.

After a two-day visit to Xiamen, the journalists traveled to Quanzhou City in Fujian Province, known as one of the most populous and significant port cities in the province.
Their first visit in Quanzhou was to Jinjiang City, a county-level city under Quanzhou City, which is the birthplace of the famous sportswear brand Anta.
The journalists visited the Anta Group headquarters, where they received a presentation on the company's global achievements.

The journalists also had the opportunity to meet with officials from Quanzhou and Jinjiang.
Journalists visited Pingtan on Saturday where they toured the International Institute of Austronesian Research Centre and Beigang Village. The village is known for its windmills, which attract a large number of tourists.
Today and tomorrow, the journalists are scheduled to visit Fuzhou City, the capital of Fujian Province, and Zhuzhou City, an industrial and transportation hub. They will tour various sites in the cities and meet with city officials.
