IGMH nurse suspended over drug use allegations

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has suspended a local female nurse over allegations of drug use.

IGMH said today that the hospital reported the nurse to the police two weeks ago. The police are currently investigating the matter.

"The employee has now been suspended," the hospital said.

The nurse, who previously served as a ward in-charge, was transferred to a different role two months ago, according to IGMH.

Police said yesterday that the suspect has not yet been arrested.
