Yesterday, the foundation has been laid for the Maldives Hajj Corporation offices being built in Hulhumale'.
The offices are being built on a 5000 sqft plot of land in front of Amin Avenue.
At a ceremony held at the location yesterday morning, the foundation stone was laid by the Hajj Corporation's Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel and other senior officials.
The contractor for this project is Medtech Maldives Pvt Ltd, which is undertaking the project on a contractor finance policy for MVR 79.1 million.
The completed offices will be nine storeys high.
The current offices of Hajj Corporation are housed in rented floors of a privately owned building.
