MPL initiates "Modern Portal Management" course

The "Modern Port Management" course aims to develop expertise in maritime ports and lasts for 18 months, involving a total of 20 participants.

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), in collaboration with the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), launched the "Modern Port Management" course yesterday.

The course aims to develop expertise in maritime ports and lasts for 18 months, involving a total of 20 participants.

The course was initiated during a special ceremony attended by MPL officials and representatives from other relevant agencies.

Speaking at the event, MPL's Chief Corporate Officer Aishath Shimla emphasized the value of the education and training provided by the course. She encouraged the participants to strive with determination despite the competitive educational environment.

Participants include employees from MPL, Maldives State Shipping (MSS), and Maldives Immigration.

The first modules of the course will be delivered by UNCTAD's Information Systems Officer, Tomasz Kulaga, and Bremore Port Company Director, Joe Hiney.

This marks the third collaboration between MPL and UNCTAD to offer the Modern Port Management course.
