Team 'Husbulhi' claimed victory in the Ooredoo Mas Race, which took place yesterday in Lhaviyani Atoll Naifaru.
Team 'Husbulhi' secured its victory in the Ooredoo Mas Race with 921 points. Team 'Chill Bros' came in second with 698 points, while Team 'Korakali' finished third with 438 points.
In the Ooredoo Naifaru Mas Race, the heaviest fish, a 9 kilogram Giant Trevally, was caught by Mohamed Nasheed from Team Alifas. Ali Abdulla from Team Chill Bros was awarded the title of Best Fisherman, while Jawada Ahmed from Team Korakali was named Best Fisherwoman.
The first place winner will be awarded MVR 25,000, while the second and third place teams will receive MVR 10,000 and MVR 5,000, respectively. Additionally, those accorded as "Best Fisherman" and "Best Fisherwoman" will each be given a prize of MVR 1,000, along with a Pio Ultimate Sea Spirit/Gangster (H/D) rod.
The Ooredoo Mas Race is an annual fishing competition held in celebration of Ooredoo's anniversary and remains a popular event organized by the company each year.
