Ooredoo Fun Run: Over 6,000 participants enjoy the festive event

Ooredoo successfully hosted 'Fun Run,' described by the company as its biggest, most enjoyable, and most exciting run, on Friday, December 22.

According to Ooredoo, more than 6,000 runners participated in the event held in Hulhumalé. This year's 5K 'Fun Run' took place on the streets of Hulhumalé Phase 1 and 2. Ooredoo said that individuals from all age groups, particularly families and children, participated in the run.

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Managing Director and CEO of Ooredoo Maldives Khalid Al-Hamadi, Board Director of Ooredoo Maldives Dheena Hussain, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Maldives Hussain Niyaz, and Atoll Council President Ismail Ali also participated in the event.

The event featured fun stations set up to welcome runners at every kilometer, color stations, and obstacle courses placed along the route. Additionally, a foam party was organized to add to the excitement of the run.​

At the end of the event, participants also enjoyed the Adventure Up Bull Bash and Gladiator Duel. Numerous photos of participants fully enjoying the event have been shared on social media platforms, showcasing the joy of the participants' run and their medals.

Commenting on the broad response to this year's Fun Run, Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director and CEO Khalid Al Hamadi said, “Fun Run is not just a run, it's a celebration that encourages people to maintain good health and reflect the spirit of our society. The smiles and happiness of the participants were a great satisfaction for the company," he said.

Ooredoo announced that next year's regional Fun Run will be held in Laamu atoll.
