Maldives' men's beach volleyball team earned a silver medal at the 2019 Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG).

In the initial match, Maldives secured a victory against Mauritius by 2-1 and lost the following match against the Reunion Islands by 0-2. Hope was renewed with a 2-1 win against Mauritius in the third match and a 2-0 win against Seychelles in the subsequent match. The silver medal was guaranteed when Mauritius lost against the Reunion Islands in the final match.

The volleyball team consists of Shiunaz Abdul Waheed, Adam Naseem, Ahmed Mohamed and Mohamed Ali, with Abdulla Nasheed serving as the team's coach.

The award is the highest achievement Madives has secured in beach volleyball. In 2015, Maldives earned a bronze medal in the Asian Continental Cup (AVC) Continental Cup.

Maldives has earned four medals in the ongoing IOIG, including the gold medal bagged by the women's table tennis team and bronze medals secured by Mohamed Maazin in the 100 meter Paralympic event and the men's badminton team.
