Maldives Criminal Court says the usage of political banners and slogans with indirect campaigning against India violates the court's earlier verdict.

The court claims that purposeful misspelling in "India Out" campaigns, regardless of deliberate language syntaxes were still against the order.

Earlier in April, local law enforcement stepped in to remove a massive "India Out" banner from the private residence of former Maldives president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Following the incident, many opposition supporters and PPM sympathizers have opted for the deliberate misspelling of the anti-India campaign, in bids to outmaneuver the legal parameters.

Meanwhile, similar banners raised at the main office of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) were removed by Maldives Police on Sunday evening.

Moreover, usage of imagery and euphemism will still amount to criminal liability as per the Criminal Court order.

Furthermore the usage of graffiti art or other material using the colors that represent the Indian sovereign flag were endangering acts that would undermine the bilateral relationship between Maldives and India, read the court order.

The Maldives President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had earlier released a declaration in a bid to curtail opposition's efforts for the anti-India campaign.
