Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) on Thursday, revealed that private freight forwarding companies and brokers are charging additional charges on shipments, falsely claiming that such fees are imposed by MPL.
According to a circular released by the company, certain charges such as 'APCR', 'DCHT', Port Congestion Charges and Equipment Imbalance Charges are among those quoted as false fees.
