The DITP says this event will help local businesses to connect with Thai exporters from various sectors such as food and beverage, fruits and vegetables, fashion, furniture, etc.
Thailand is set to host a business matching forum in the Maldives, connecting Maldivians businesses with top Thai exporters, allowing both their exporters and local businesses to explore new market opportunities.
The event will be held on August 18th from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm at Hotel Jen, Malé City, with a wide range of exporters for local businesses to match with. These include sectors such as food and beverages, fruits and vegetables, furniture, fashion as well as cosmetics.
The event is hosted by Thailand's Department of International Trade Promoting (DITP), Ministry of Commerce and will be represented by the Thai Trade Centre, in Chennai, India.
"The DITP’s mission is to enhance the global competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs by promoting sustainable value creation for Thai products and services, expanding international market access, and ensuring excellence in service for all stakeholders," they said, adding that the business-to-business meeting aims to strengthen the bilateral business relations and to facilitate a business expansion in the Maldives.
DITP also says that Maldivian companies who attend the forum will benefit from networking with leading Thai exporters, exploring new business opportunities, learning about the latest trends in Thai food, fashion and furniture industries, as well as discovering new products and services to enhance their business while building long term relationships with Thai enterprises.
