A Brazilian woman was arrested in Velana International Airport (VIA) on August 18 with 16 kilo gram of cocaine.
This is the second time a Brazilian woman was arrested with a large amount of drugs this month.
Maldives Customs Service said the 29 years old woman was stopped and her luggage was checked by security as she was exhibiting suspicious behaviour.
The drugs found in her luggage have been confirmed to be cocaine. Customs had said there were a total of 16.72 kilo gram of drugs with her.
This case has been passed onto the police now.
A Brazilian woman arrested on August 13 had MVR 15 million worth of drugs on her.
