The scenic Raa Atoll is one of the deeper atolls in the Maldivian archipelago, offering many snorkelling and diving chances to explore its immensely rich and diverse underwater environment. It is remote and untouched, with an aura of quiet seclusion. Joining the luxury addresses in Raa Atoll is Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, the second Hyatt property in the island nation. Hyatt, as a leading hospitality empire in the world, carries forth its commitment to ‘caring for people so they can be their best’ to the new addition.
This five-star resort will feature a total of 80 enticing units, offering the best modes of nature-getaway to luxuriate in. While 44 of them will be tucked away in lush tropical flora along the island's white sand beaches for solitude, 36 will be built overwater on stilts with lovely outside decks and easy access to the lagoon.
Each of the resort's 44 beachfront villas and 36 overwater villas has a private pool designed for calm leisure in harmony with nature. These roomy hideaways are thoughtfully positioned to provide seclusion and comfort in subtle, classy design, with contemporary décor in a palette of soothing colours and natural textures. Travellers can relax in tranquil privacy while the island’s kind hosts provide individualised experiences in an all-pool-villa sanctuary.
Green initiatives have been adopted from the ground up in order to attain EarthCheck certification, the world's top environmental certification and benchmarking program for the travel and tourism industry. The thoughtful architectural design is one such tribute to the resort’s initiative with 70% of the island’s existing vegetation preserved.
The resort will have a soft launch with the initial opening of its Beach Villas and limited dining options in April 2022. A wide range of recreational activities and amenities will be provided, including water sports and marine excursions, select spa treatments, and a kids' club. The resort is anticipated to come to a full completion in the last quarter of 2022.
