These inspections were done under a special operation targeting salons and spas. In a post on social media platform X, Immigration said that the operation focuses on checking if the people working at the spas and salons are in the country legally. Police Intelligence also worked with Immigration in this operation.
While 22 places were inspected, seven expatriate women were found to be working against the law.
Immigration further said that they had issued notices to seven persons who had been employing these expatriates.
Under the current operations being conducted by Immigration, over 3000 expatriates have now been deported.
