United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Maldives, on Thursday, handed over the ICT equipment procured by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services and Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

UNDP revealed that the equipment will assist the ministry in establishing the 'Care Portal', as well as the Centre for Mental Health at IGMH, contributing towards transforming business processes that were disrupted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ministry noted that its Care Portal will provide support to "victims of domestic violence, gender-based violence, persons with disabilities, elderly and others facing social issues".

"Mental Health is relevant to all of us especially during these challenging times. We believe that digitalization of Centre for Mental Health will benefit not only Malé, but vulnerable populations living across the country" stated the Centre for Mental Health.
