Higher education loans to be announced soon: Minister Haider

Higher Education Minister Dr Ali Haider Ahmed has assured that the government is working to announce higher education loans as soon as possible.

Speaking to Mihaaru News, the minister said that certain arrangements are being finalized before the official announcement.

While the ministry had previously set deadlines last week, the loans were not announced as expected.

Without providing further details, Haider said he would clarify the reasons for the delay at an upcoming press conference.

Last year, the government opened 500 student loan slots for higher education in Maldives and abroad, covering programs from diploma to PhD levels.
