Marking 30 years of service in the fisheries industry, Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has rebranded their logo to better reflect Maldivian culture.
The logo was approved by the company's board of directors in June. The company will be using the logo in all their branding from now on.
MIFCO said that the change had been brought as although the old logo was appropriate and ideal for the times it was introduced in, there are challenges faced in using it in today's digital media.
The company said that the new logo was designed through collaboration with experts, and using the same colours as the previous one. The new logo is compiled with 'thaana' dhivehi script letters spelling out the company name. They also said that the logo shows the silhouette of a fish, which represents Maldives fisheries, which is an important basis the company is built on.
MIFCO revealed that the company's brand "Fasmeeru" would also soon exhibit images representing Maldivian culture.
