The first floor of the Finance Ministry building has been renamed to "Mujuthaba Floor" to honour Ahmed Mujuthaba, who served fourteen years in the ministry.
Ahmed Mujuthaba was serving as Chief Procurement Executive at the ministry when he passed away in July last year.
The Finance Ministry announced in a social media post today that the floor had been so designated in order to honour the long and dedicated service of Mujuthaba.
The first floor of the building houses MIRA offices. The renaming of the floor was inaugurated by the brother of Mujuthaba, Murtaza Majdhy.
Mujuthaba earned his first degree in accounting from Malaysia's Multimedia University. He earned a Masters Degree specializing in Business Administration from Open University in 2012.
Mujuthaba, who joined the Finance Ministry in 2008, has also served as Secretary for the National Tender Board. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Bid Committee, Chairman of CMDA Audit and Risk Committee, as well as non-executive director at the same company.
