State Trading Organization (STO) reopens their super-market outlet under a brand new concept in the Maldives.
STO reopened their People's Choice, adopting the "hypermarket" concept which has become a popular choice around the world already.
Hypermarkets are an amalgamation of a department store and a grocery store, usually developed in large establishments. These stores cater to a comparatively larger consumer base since it features a wide variety of products ranging from appliances, clothing, and even groceries.
In addition to this, hypermarkets are larger in its capacity with a wider catalogue of products compared to conventional supermarkets.
The revamped People's Choice was officially reopened by the Maldives Vice-President Mr. Faisal Naseem during a special ceremony held on Wednesday morning, 16th March.
STO Managing Director Mr. Hussain Amr also accompanied the Maldives VP in reopening the outlet for the public.
With the transition of People's Choice from a traditional supermarket to a hypermarket, it was confirmed by STO that the new mega-store establishment is thrice larger than the previous building.
