Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) on Sunday, October 8, opened the window for applying for its membership.
The President's Office announced that applications will be accepted on next week Sunday and Monday, October 15-16, for the vacant positions.
A position of the commission was vacated after its Deputy President Dr. Ahmed Adhuham Abdulla resigned.
The commission's regulation state that a new member should be appointed within 60 days of the position being vacated.
The current members of the commission include its President, Mariyam Muna, and members Mu'umina Waheed, Aminath Shifa'ath Abdul Razzaq, and Samau Najeeb.
