At the hearing held in the Criminal Court today, Justice Ibrahim Ihsan acknowledged that the case was not progressing swiftly due to limited court resources. However, he expressed his intention to settle the case by October.
Justice Ihsan ordered a decision regarding taking the testimony of six out of seven Sri Lankan witnesses, who are currently abroad. He stated that the prosecution should decide whether their testimonies were necessary.
During today's hearing, the testimony of a police officer who was present at the scene of the murder was recorded.
