President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday, renamed the 'Male' Hospitals Governing Board' to 'Male' Hospitals Board of Trustees' and reconstituted its board of directors.

The vice chairman of the board, Aneesa Ahmed, is notably a recipient of the Order of Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin, the highest honour bestowed by the Maldivian state.
Based in the Greater Male' Region, Male' Hospitals manages the new state-run 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital and Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in capital Male', and Hulhumale’ Hospital and Villimale’ Hospital which are located in the suburbs of Hulhumale' and Villimale' respectively.
