Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, hosted an Orthopaedic training programme for Operating Theatre nurses of the Hulhumale' Hospital.
The program aims to upgrade the orthopaedic and trauma surgery services in the reclaimed suburb, or more specifically are geared to "establish a National Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics at Hulhumale' Hospital in the near future".
Two nurses are undergoing extensive training by IGMH's Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery and the IGMH Operating Theater Services.
Hulhumale' Hospital is in preparations to commence regular orthopaedic services from November 7 onwards.
