Famous Malaysian restaurant franchise 'Secret Recipe' has opened its new outlet at the Waterfront complex of Velana International Airport (VIA).
This is Secret Recipe's second outlet in the Maldives, following the resounding success of its first branch in capital Male, which was opened in 2016.
The 'Secret Recipe: Waterfront', located in front of VIA's Domestic Terminal, boasts beautiful views of Hulhule island's lagoon and the skyline of Male City to the south.
Similar to the Male' outlet, Secret Recipe: Waterfront's menu features the meals and drinks popular amongst the public, as well as the franchise's famous cakes. The outlet has launched a special buy-one-get-one-free promotion for its cakes, to mark its opening.
The Chief Operating Manager described Secret Recipe: Waterfront as a pleasant escape for both tourists and locals. She assured that the price range at the waterfront outlet does not differ much from Secret Recipe in Male, despite locals' perception of "expensive" airport eateries.
She further declared that VIA's development has established Hulhule as not merely a port for travellers, but a pleasant hangout spot for the public as well.
Founded in 1997, the Secret Recipe franchise currently operates over 440 outlets in various regions of the world.
