Medical professionals have expressed growing concerns regarding the surge in respiratory diseases, which have proven difficult to manage.

A pulmonary disease specialist interviewed by Mihaaru said, flu has become a widespread issue across the country since the middle of the previous year. The doctor emphasized that the prolonged nature of this situation is disconcerting.

"It appears that it might take a minimum of two years to regain control over these flus," the doctor warned.

People of all age groups, from school-age children to the elderly, are experiencing persistent flu symptoms, seeking treatment, but not experiencing a full recovery, the doctor noted. When schools reopened in August following a long holiday, it was observed that these diseases, especially flu among students, worsened.

"The same trend was noted during the recent resumption of in-person classes," stated the pulmonologist.

The doctor further highlighted that alongside the rising flu cases, there is also an increasing number of individuals seeking treatment for post-COVID lung infections. The individuals have tested positive for the virus, but a significant portion seeking treatment do not have a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.
