Ministry of Tourism has signed an MoU with Maldives National University (MNU) to develop a resort and training school in Laamu atoll Hulhimendhoo.
Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry at a ceremony held at MNU yesterday, with MNU Vice Chancellor Dr Aishath Shehenaz signing on behalf of the university.
Minister Faisal highlighted that the project will create valuable opportunities for individuals seeking careers in tourism.
He noted that the island will provide services to tourists, with students in training directly involved in serving guests at the resort.
