A Deputy Minister receives a monthly salary of MVR 35,500, which includes a basic salary of MVR 20,500 and an allowance of MVR 15,000.
Following the formation of the new government on November 17, there is a total of 49 State Ministers and 22 Cabinet Ministers.
A State Minister's monthly remuneration is set at MVR 47,000 per month, which includes a basic salary of MVR 32,000 and MVR 15,000 as allowance, while a Minister receives a monthly salary of MVR 66,000.
