President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday appointed four advisors to the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage.

The appointments were made during a special ceremony held at the President's Office.

The advisors are:

- Recipient of Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin, Naseema Mohamed Kaleyfaanu

- Recipient of Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin, Abbas Ibrahim

- Recipient of Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin, Abdulla Sodiq

- Mohamed ‘Madulu’ Waheed

Speaking at the ceremony, President Solih expressed hope that the four advisors would combine their experience and assist the Heritage Ministry in its endeavours in safeguarding the perpetuation of items and sites of historical significance to future generations and ensure the documentation, preservation and protection of cultural heritage.

The advisors expressed their gratitude to President Solih for the opportunity. Additionally, they assured the President of their commitment to discharge their duties and responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
